What is Cabaser and what is it used for?

• CABASER is available in colored glass bottles, each containing 1 mg of cabergoline, orally, with a special cap capable of absorbing moisture of 20 notched tablets. The notch facilitates the division of the tablet into 2 equal parts.

• CABASER is a drug used in the treatment of symptoms of Parkinson's disease in adults. It is used to help control symptoms after your doctor has tried other treatments and has not benefited, or by adding them to the medications you are currently using for this disease.

• CABASER belongs to a group of drugs called dopamine agonists. The active ingredient, cabergoline, acts similar to the chemical dopamine in the body. Dopamine is produced naturally in the brain and helps to transmit messages to the brain. In patients with Parkinson's Disease, this chemical is not sufficiently available. CABASER acts by increasing the effect of dopamine.
