2. What is CHORIOMON and what is it used for?

  • CHORIOMON is given to allow ovulation of eggs after the use of other medicines for follicles development in cases of anovulation and irregular menstruation (amenorrhea).
  • In medical reproductive programs such as in vitro fertilization, CHORIOMON is used to ripen these eggs after treatment with other drugs to produce eggs.

Children and Men

  • It is used in the treatment of patients whose sexual secretory glands develop very little, delayed puberty or problems related to sperm formation.

3. How to use CHORIOMON?

  • Always apply CHORIOMON in the amount prescribed by your doctor and exactly as described. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

CHORIOMON will usually be administered by your doctor or suitably trained personnel. If the drug is to be prepared and administered under the skin, please make sure that you have enough information from your doctor.

Instructions for proper use and dosage / frequency of administration

  • The dosage of your medication will be determined by your doctor according to the results of the tests performed before and after treatment.

Application route and method

  • CHORIOMON should be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly. It should not be applied intravenously. CHORIOMON should not be taken orally.

The first application should be done under the supervision of your doctor. Your doctor will explain in detail how to use your medication for later applications. Injectable solution is obtained by dissolving the powder in the vial with the help of the solvent in the cardboard box.

The prepared solution should be used immediately without waiting.

    Preparation of injection solution:

1- Remove the aluminum seal of the vial containing CHORIOMON and clean the rubber stopper with alcohol cotton.

2- Take the syringe containing the solvent. Insert the needle through the rubber stopper into the vial and slowly inject all the solvent (and some air) into the vial. Wait until the powder in the vial is completely dissolved.

3- After the powder has dissolved (usually the powder dissolves immediately), turn the vial upside down while the needle is still inside, slowly withdraw the needle until the tip of the needle is close to the surface of the rubber stopper (ie the bottom of the vial turned upside down). Slowly withdraw the solution from the vial into the syringe. Make sure you have the whole solution.

    Subcutaneous application:

Disconnect the working needle from the syringe and leave it in the vial to prevent it from sticking to your finger. Insert a new needle (subcutaneous type) into the syringe.

Holding the syringe upright with the needle tip pointing up, gently tap the syringe to allow air bubbles to accumulate on top. Gently push the plunger to expel air bubbles. When a drop of solution appears at the tip of the needle, the air will be discarded.

Adjust the amount of CHORIOMON in the syringe as instructed by your doctor.

Your doctor or medical team should have given you information about where you can inject CHORIOMON (eg abdomen, thighs).

Wipe the area selected for injection with alcohol cotton. Pinch the skin with your fingertips and dip the needle into the pinch skin at an angle of 45-90 degrees. Inject all the solution in the injector by slowly pushing the plunger.

Quickly withdraw the needle and wipe the injection site with alcohol cotton. Do not rub the injection site, otherwise bruising may occur at the injection site.
